How to Sell . . .
We are always in the market to buy both collections and individual items. We offer several ways to sell your material:
Outright Purchase: Send your material to us directly and we will give you a quote by email. If you accept, we pay you immediately. If not, the material will be returned to you immediately. For individual items, we will probably pay the highest prices as we usually only buy individual items to replace out of stock or want list items.
We prefer collections which have a good representation of Asia, but do buy other worldwide collections, especially if the collections are mostly pre-1960. Contact us for an appointment to look at your collection firsthand, or send it to us and we'll make you a fair offer for it. If you want to send it to us, please give us some description and if possible, scans of a few pages.
Consignment Purchase: Much of our material is obtained on a consignment basis, particularly worldwide material and collections. If we accept your material on consignment, we will establish a fair market value for the material and create a consignment status report for you. Quarterly, we will provide you an update on the status of your consigned material and send a payment for any funds due. At any point, either you or we can terminate the consignment, and the material still unsold will be returned to you.
Auction: We can lot your material for you and place it in either a specialized auction or on eBay or similar on-line auction. The advantage of using us for auction is our experience with selling through all types of auction situations, our handling of all administrative issues relative to selling, and the relative anonymity that going through a dealer provides you.
All of these methods have their advantages and disadvantages, so you should explore your options with us before proceeding.
